First off, go red engine yourself.

Second, it is my opinion that quite a few people who play care more about how they look than about how they play. Who does this hurt? The people who group with them. Like the one person who quit in a huff because we didn't wait to let her (probably him) undress before a cutscene.

So if you want to disagree with my opinion, feel free. If you want to call me an idiot? Yeah... go RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO yourself.

First off, tell someone who cares.

Second, your opinion doesn't matter to me nor anyone else. How does it hurt with the people who group with the side they chose for the environment? People like YOU are the people I hate grouping with. People who think they know it all, you know nothing concerning the circumstances. People want to join where they want for their reasons, you have no right to make their decisions. go RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO yourself. How mature.

And I'm not even sure what that's supposed to mean, but I speak english. I don't speak in terms of "dumb***". I shouldn't curse, mommy might be behind you. If you want to insult me, do it right.

Correction: If he wants to insult you, and visa versa, go somewhere else.

Get each others e-mail addresses and yell at each other on Messenger. This is a gaming forum, not a talk show. This isn't the time or the place for insulting each other. I haven't read WHO started this and frankly, I don't really care. None of you are being anywhere NEAR mature.

Please, let people talk about why they like the Kurzicks/Luxons without having you two ruin the topic and cost bandwidth. If you have some eccess energy you have to get rid of, go somewhere else and let out some steam.

By the way, I like the Kurzicks. I don't really wanna be a "superconservative" religious cult, but come on, they're cultivated and they have a FOREST! And it's petrified! I wanna be a Kurzick for the badass forest...

I get the distinct feeling that I'm going to be spending most of my time on the battle isles and remain unconcerned with the details of the faction war.

But that's me.

Peace,

Woooow, off topic guys lets get it back on...

I dont really like nomands,I enjoy having myself a nice big stronghold,or petrified forest if you will. I ge the feeling that the main cities for Luxons will just be lots of tents near wrecked ships, and good ones. But hey thats just me, people who want to join Luxons will join Luxons. KURZICK POWAR!!!!

If your faction (Luxon or Kurzick) is determined by the quests you do (or the choices you make during a quest?), then it sounds like it will be individually decided.

This goes directly against previous statements that Guilds choose the faction - unless, you can be in one faction, but any Guild victories count as their faction... so many questions!

All I gotta say is I'm going to look at both, see the missions and areas of both before I decide.

If my guild is not on my side then what the hella re they for. A guild is supposed to be united and helping each other out. How can you do that while having to fight against them? Im almost done converting ym guild to Kurzick but if i find any Luxons amongst them ..., thank god they dont show when people get kicked >

I want to be a traditional, disciplined warrior-poet, cutting a bloody (yet frighteningly precise and graceful) swathe through the hordes of savages with my katana (if there aren't any katanas or tachis, I'm going to be very disappointed). So Kurzick for me. Too bad the warrior just looks like a fat, lumbering clod. Maybe A/W?

Well I'm sure in Luxon vs Kurzick battles there is a 12v12 limit so if you Kurzick you'll get into more battles and if you Luxon you'll have to wait a bit.

My guild, the Rite of Passage, is going Kurzick. The reason simply being, that our guild leader who has gone away on army marine training and won't be back until after the release, asked it to be so along with other things. His reasoning:

Their Petrified Forest Temples and buildings indicate that judging from our Halls being the Isle of the Dead, the Kurzick's ornate architecture can very easily turn to be our new home in the future.

We respect each other not for our level or age but for who we are, able to support each other through the greatest of challenges. We have grown stronger and more prosperous due to the fact that we know that when difficulties arise we have the comfort of having each other to back us up.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and wishes.
I personally was already leaning towards the Kurzicks. This was partly because I saw some controversy over the Factions split, and whether Luxon-Kurzick would turn horribly into Good-Evil, even though it seriously isn't like that at all. I can see ArenaNet's choice here...it's Ultra Liberal-Ultra Conservative. Two political wings, if you like. Theoretically, it should create an even split. Furthermore, I believe that many players will think the same as me, that a lot of people will wrongly see Luxon-Kurzick as Good-Evil, and therefore those players will make the decision to join the Kurzicks and perhaps even the more 'experienced'. From my brother's talk (he constantly talks to me about WoW and I half-listen), I get the view that it is slightly similar on WoW - that there are lots of players in the Alliance, many of whom are inexperienced, and less players in the Horde, a large fraction of them being experienced players. I'm not sure what's going to happen in Factions regarding the Factions split - I'll wait and see.

I think I'll go Kurzick. Rigid Inquistor-style suits me far better than this liberal nomad mumbo-jumbo.

It's better to die for the Emperor then live for yourself!

Luxon bound roleplayer here (my monk would cry herself to sleep every night if she knew I let the Kurzick's charge into the Jade Sea to make some turtle soup). I rather hope most of the upper tier PvPers go Kurzick too...

Kurzick PvPer: damn all you Luxon lovers! Come over here and help instead of wasting your time with n00by parttime PvPers! We can't win with you holding these stupid resource missions and I'm sick of always going into GvG at a disadvantage!!!

My perky monk: No! You're evil! No turtle soup for you!!!

You aint friggin kidding. Is it ANets goal for all of us to need to hire full time decipher'ers to figure out WTH they're going to do with this game and if it'll work for us, be enjoyable, how to position ourselves etc etc?

There is a LOT of conflicting information out there

Is faction resolved at Guild, Account or Character level? If it's at all above character level you mean to say my Faction alliance is across all of my linked characters on my account, thus I'd need another GW setup (with associated chapter(s)) to get into the other faction? Or play a game of 'OK so I'm deeply associated with one side now I have to 'farm faction' to reverse the trend I've played throughout the game to play/see/enjoy the other side?'

EQ had goofy stuff like that and only the Mesmer really had a shot of it (funny disguises and 'faction spells' to help out) and that's generally not a fun thing to do. At least there on the same account you could have different characters in different alliances/guilds/factions etc.

And I have to believe FPE will do little to answer these questions.
But we're talking basic gameplay questions - even basic character slot questions aren't fully answered still (so we getting buyable or not?).

sigh

Is your account that has to chose a side or can you pick sides with your characters?
